In preparation for the Pan American Karate Championship to be held next month in Ecuador, the athlete sponsored by the Instituto Aço Cearense, Jonathan Benvindo, will compete next Saturday, August 3, at the National Karate Open in Pernambuco.
With more than 200 medals in competitions, the young man struggles to reach the world championship that will take place in November this year, in Chile. The competition in Pernambuco counts points for the national ranking, which could take him to the World Cup. “I am confident that I will get a good score at the Pernambuco Open, which will also be a good opportunity to evaluate my performance for the Pan American Games that will happen a few days later”, explained the athlete.
The last weekend was one of victories for the collaborating athlete Lisandra Dantas, from the hiring area of Aço Cearense Industrial Matriz, sponsored by Instituto Aço Cearense. On Saturday (27), she participated in the Beach Run Brazil – Paracuru Stage, where she won the 3rd place in the general category 5 km women. According to the athlete it was a challenging course. “There were strong winds on the return of 5 km, slopes, slopes, hot sun and most of the route was on the soft sand,” he said.
On Sunday, she competed in the Fortaleza Youth Race and was the 1st place in the general 5 km women’s category. “I thank God for the results. He alone gives me strength and is my foundation for everything. I am very happy!”.
