Pedaling for Peace in Marco (CE)

On August 11, the Aço Cearense Institute held the first edition of the Pedaling for Peace Project in Marco (distant 236 km from Fortaleza), with the support of Crea-CE and the Municipal Sports Secretariat. The event changed the routine of the residents, with the participation of about 700 people, including students, teachers and managers of public schools in the city, who took advantage of the holiday of the Student Day to participate. Cyclist Gilberto Silva, sponsored by the Institute, participated both in pedaling and giving a motivational talk about the important role of sport in his life trajectory. Today, Gilberto Silva is the 2nd place in cycling in the state and the 3rd in the country in the XCM category.
